Walking the Brooklyn Bridge

Yesterday we went to canal street for some shopping, we got kicked out of one of the shops because "we were taking too long and not buying anything." So rude. We went into little Italy and China town, then we walked the Brooklyn Bridge! It was so cool, I have always wanted to do that, there was a big rally going on with thousands of people, so it wasn't the peaceful walk I had always imaged. It was a labor's rights strike or something, people were yelling and holding up signs. Pretty entertaining, I must say. On the other side of the bridge it was the most amazing view of the city, I even saw the statue of Liberty for the first time!! I was so excited!!
